Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF): Fulfill Orders Across Channels

Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF): Fulfill Orders from All Your Sales Channels
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) now operates in 10 countries, enabling sellers to use Amazon’s trusted logistics network to fulfill orders from any e-commerce platform like eBay, Shopify, Etsy, etc, not just the Amazon platform. Amazon MCF has become the go-to fulfillment solution for eCommerce sellers looking to scale efficiently across markets.

What is Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF)?

Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) lets sellers store inventory in Amazon’s fulfillment centers and use its shipping network to deliver orders received from Shopify, Walmart, your own website, or other marketplaces.

This means you don’t have to juggle multiple courier services or warehouses, Amazon handles everything from picking, packing, and shipping to tracking updates.

MCF helps you achieve faster deliveries, fewer logistics challenges, and a consistent customer experience across every sales channel.

How to Enable and Set Up MCF

Before you can use MCF, your products need to be MCF-ready, meaning they’re listed in Seller Central under Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) and available in Amazon’s fulfillment centers.

Step 1: Add Products to Amazon’s Catalog

If you already sell on Amazon, your FBA listings automatically qualify for MCF.
If not, go to Inventory → Add a Product in Seller Central to create a new listing.

Step 2: Set Fulfillment Channel to FBA

When creating or editing a listing, select: “I want Amazon to fulfill my orders (FBA).”
This makes your inventory eligible for MCF.

Step 3: Send Inventory to Amazon Fulfillment Centers

Prepare and ship your products according to Amazon’s FBA packaging and prep guidelines.

Step 4: Connect MCF to Your Store or Marketplace

Link to your store using integration apps or APIs.
For example, connect to your Shopify or Walmart store, so Amazon automatically syncs your inventory and processes orders from those platforms.

Step 5: Start Selling Anywhere

Once setup is complete, Amazon handles fulfillment for all connected channels, from order to doorstep.

Pro Tip: Use tools like KwickMetrics to monitor inventory flow, profit margins, and fulfillment costs across marketplaces.

How to Use MCF: Order Fulfillment Process

After your listings are MCF-ready, you can start creating orders directly from Seller Central by step-by-step process

  1. Log in to Seller Central
    Go to sellercentral.amazon.in→ Inventory → Multi-Channel Fulfillment
  2. Create a Fulfillment Order
You can create orders in three ways:
  • Quick Order Form: For single orders (found under “Create Fulfillment Order”).
  • Bulk Upload Template: Upload a CSV file with multiple orders.
  • API Integration: Automate order creation and syncing using Amazon’s Selling Partner API.

All forms and templates are available inside Seller Central under Inventory → Multi-Channel Fulfillment → Create Order.

  1. Amazon Picks and Ships
Amazon automatically selects the nearest fulfillment center to deliver the product faster.
  2. Choose Shipping Speed
Shipping speed is chosen by you (the seller)during order creation — not by the buyer.
You decide whether to send the product using:
  • Standard: 3–5 business days
  • Expedited: 1–2 business days
  • Priority: 1 business day
  1. Track Orders in Real-Time:  Track orders via:
  1. Handle Returns
If a customer returns an item, it is sent back to the Amazon fulfillment center, where it’s evaluated and re-added to your inventoryif eligible (undamaged and resell able). If not, Amazon marks it as “unsellable” and does not put it back into your active inventory.

You’ll have two options as the seller:

  • Create a removal order:
You can have Amazon return the item to you (for inspection, repair, or repackaging).
→ You’ll need to request this in Seller Central → Inventory → Manage FBA Inventory → Create Removal Order.
  • Dispose of the item:
If the product has no recovery value, you can instruct Amazon to dispose of it.
→ A small disposal fee applies, similar to the FBA disposal fee.

Shipping Speeds (Eg: India)

In MCF, sellers decide the shipping speed – Standard, Expedited, or Priority. When creating the order. Buyers don’t choose the delivery type; they simply receive their package within the timeframe the seller promises in their store.
Amazon then fulfills the order from the nearest fulfillment center to ensure the fastest possible delivery.
